CCP to hold Simbang Gabi, Misa de Aguinaldo show

MANILA, Philippines -- The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) will hold the traditional novena of dawn Masses starting Sunday, culminating in a Christmas Eve Mass featuring performances from world-class singers and musicians.

"Simbang Gabi @ d' CCP" will be held 5 a.m. daily from December 16 to 24 at the CCP Main Ramp.

On December 24, CCP will hold its special "Misa de Aguinaldo" in observance of the Christmas Eve mass at 8 p.m.

It will feature the performances of several music groups at the CCP Main Theater.

Mass goers will be welcomed by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra with a medley of Christmas carols prior to the eucharistic celebration.

The Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group, meanwhile, will perform and excerpt of the reenactment of "Panunuluyan".

Accompanied by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philippine Madrigal Singers will also join the "Misa de Aguinaldo" as they lead a 100-voice chorale in singing the "Hallelujah Chorus".
