MANILA, Philippines -- Celebrate Christmas early with holiday specials set to air on local TV in the coming days.
Kapamilya stars have come together for this year's ABS-CBN Christmas special and the Yuletide celebration of concert variety program "ASAP 2012".
International crooners also recently held Christmas performances, which you can now watch on cable TV.
Here's a quick guide on when to watch the TV holiday treats:
1. Liwanag ng Pasko: The ABS-CBN Christmas Special
(In two parts, December 15 and 16 at 9:30 p.m. on ABS-CBN)
The annual Christmas special of ABS-CBN was held this year at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last December 11. The all-star gathering features world-class performances from several Kapamilya stars.
"Liwanag ng Pasko" also highlights ABS-CBN's upcoming programs lined up for the first quarter of 2013, including "Apoy sa Dagat," "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" and "Juan dela Cruz."
2. ASAP That's Christmas
(December 16, noontime on ABS-CBN)
The big-name performers of the concert variety show are set for their Christmas-inspired production numbers this Sunday. Watch out for the segments "2Nay na Pasko" and "Christmas 3'T", which will have Kapamilya stars singing and dancing.
Singer Gary Valenciano will pay tribute to the victims of typhoon Pablo, while stars of the film entries to 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival will grace the "ASAP" stage. Also set to join the show is "Rosalinda" leading man and Venezuelan actor-singer Fernando Carillo.
3. Andre Rieu's Home for Christmas
(December 14, 22 and 25 on Velvet - SkyCable Channel 53)
Music composer and "King of Waltz" Andre Rieu recently performed with his Johann Strauss Orchestra at his fabled castle in Maastricht, The Netherlands. Local viewers can now watch the two-hour special set in the lavish castle.
The grand concerto features well-loved Christmas tunes, including those recorded in Rieu's 26-track album "Home for Christmas."
4. The Micheal Bublé Christmas Special
(December 20, 21, 22 and 25 on Velvet - SkyCable Channel 53)
The popular crooner takes to the stage his best-selling "Christmas" album, which has already gone six times platinum in the UK, and has sold over 2.5 million copies in the United States.
5. Rod Stewart debuts first Christmas album
(December 27, 28 and 29; January 1 on Velvet - SkyCable Channel 53)
The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee will serenade viewers with the 13 tracks featured in his first-ever Christmas album.
For the record's concert staging, Stewart will be joined by other big-name singers like Mary J. Blige, Micheal Bublé and Cee Lo Green.
