MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN host Boy Abunda and Ateneo Blue Eagles star Kiefer Ravena are among the celebrities who will be participating in a charity auction to raise funds for ChildHaus, a temporary home where indigent pediatric patients with cancer and other life-threatening diseases can stay while undergoing medical evaluation or treatment.
Abunda’s trenchcoat by Rajo Laurel, which he wore for the eighth anniversary show of the talk show “The Buzz,” is going for a starting bid of P1,000, while Ravena’s jersey starts at P500.
Meanwhile, the artwork “Pacquiao vs. Bradley” by official Pacquiao painter Jun Aquino, which was supposed to be used for the Filipino boxer’s victory party in the controversial match that he lost, is going for an amazingly low starting bid of P20,000.
Ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde’s signed pair of Suffolk Pointe ballet shoes, together with a signed copy of her coffeetable book, “Ballerina of the People,” are bundled for a starting bid of P1,000.
Other items for the opening week of the auction include a signed copy of “A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger than Basketball” by NBA Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade, and “Seriously… I’m Kidding” by top daytime talk show host Ellen de Generes, both donated by National Book Store.
The auction by the Filioino social commerce network, BizChum, is also set to unveil memorabilia pledged by Kapamilya talent Christian Bautista, RX 93.1 DJs Chico and Delamar, Star Magic celebrities, and others coming together to make Christmas more meaningful in the life of a sick child.
Interested bidders can sign up for a BizChum account and place their bids on the item’s auction page. All proceeds of the auction shall be turned over to ChildHaus in time for Christmas.
Bizchum is a 100% Filipino owned social commerce network which offers free classified ad postings as well as an avenue for social networking.
