MANILA, Philippines – The Ateneo de Manila University and San Miguel Corp. (SMC) are teaming up to give social entrepreneurs a chance to reach a bigger and wider market for their products.
Ateneo and SMC are hosting the first-ever “Blue Market” during two successive weekends on November 17-18 and November 24-25.
Fresh produce, cooked food, pastries and other specialty food products will be offered not only to the Ateneo community but also to the general public during the weekend fair, which will be held at the Blue Eagle Gym parking lot inside the Ateneo campus.
“Blue Market” visitors will also get a chance to watch cooking demonstrations while being treated to music from Ateneo alumni. The weekend fair will also feature art exhibits.
“Blue Market” is co-presented by the Ateneo de Manila High School Class of 1987, which is celebrating its silver jubilee this year, and the Center for Culinary Arts.
The weekend fair will be for the benefit of the scholars of the Dunong Foundation and the Philippine Province of the Society of Jesus.
