MANILA, Philippines - The SMX Convention Center in Pasay City will host a concert next week to raise awareness about climate change.

"Greeneration: Pinoy + Youth + Power in a Changing Climate" will feature Up Dharma Down, Parokya ni Edgar, MYMP, Itchyworms and other local bands, and will be held on November 22.

The concert is part of a two-day conference and exhibit titled "National Climate Change Consciousness Week: Creating Convergence on Climate Change," which will kick of on November 21.

Proclamation No. 1776 has declared November 19 to 25 as Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week.

The Climate Change Commission said it will measure the carbon footprint of the entire event, adding that it will introduce carbon offset schemes to enable institutions to lower their emissions.
