Fresh look for M Café

Museum Café, more popularly known as M Café, is turning over a new leaf on November 8, which will also mark the return of its weekly DJ events, M Sessions!

The restaurant known for its modern Asian cuisine is introducing a fresh look, a selection of brand new homemade infusion cocktails, and an additional restaurant aptly called Kabila—serving simple Filipino dishes with a modern take.

M Café opened in August 2004 and has become a popular venue for events like evening socials, cocktails or corporate lunches. It is also known for its Champagne Brunch & Jazz on Sundays.

M Café kicks off its recent enhanced look and rejuvenated menu choices this month with a line-up of live acts, international DJs and visual live art, bringing two brand new weekly events on Friday and Saturday nights.

All-You-Can-Eat spree

GrantonWorld recently launched the All-You-Can-Eat spree at Mercato Centrale at the Bonifacio Global City, where foodies can enjoy a selection of dishes and tempting desserts in a one-hour dining frenzy at the popular weekend food market.

Food magazine’s annual gift guide

Food Magazine presents its annual gift guide titled “Presents Perfect” starting in its November issue which offers a selection of over 120 budget-friendly products under P1,000. Those who want to indulge in 80 luxury products over P1,000 must watch out for the December issue.

“Presents Perfect” has a selection of cakes, pastries, macarons, chocolates, cheeses, pates, wines, roast meats and other dishes, along with kitchen appliances, glass and dinnerware, kitchen tools and more.

This year, FOOD Magazine will also stage an all-food bazaar, featuring the merchants featured in the magazine such as Everyday Mom, Zentiments, Gana Vida, Gigi’s Custaroons, Green Daisy, J Cuppacakes, Kate Bakes, Pastelleria Mallorca, Twisted Candy and others.

Chocolate lovers will enjoy the event highlights which include a chocolate eating contest, a chocolate cupcake competition and a talk on being a chocolate connoisseur. Apart from these, there will be a chocolate fondue fountain and a chocolate bar with special beverages made of chocolate.

The free for all “Presents Perfect” event will be held this November 10 to 11 at 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Robinsons Magnolia.

‘Curiosity Got the Chef’ features chocolates

Chef Sharwin Tee whips up chocolate goodies for this week’s episode titled “Chocoholics Anonymous.” Tee will give the sweet chocolate a twist by adding some spice to it through “Spicy Chocolate Bites” made from baked chocolate-coated popcorn and cashew nuts, seasoned with peppers.

While chocolate is usually considered a dessert, he has also created “Chocolate Pasta with Spiked Mango Sauce” made with homemade pasta noodles and cocoa powder combined with a sweet and fruity mango sauce.

For his final dish, Tee whips up a sinful dessert called “Three stages of happiness”.

“Curiosity Got the Chef” airs on Saturday at 6 p.m., Sunday at 10 a.m. and Tuesday at 5: p.m. on the Lifestyle Network aired on SkyCable channel 52.

Discover Suites’ Christmas menu package

Discovery Suites has unveiled its “Christmas Menu Package,” a selection of four packages for the holiday season.

The “Festivity” package (P1,050++ per person) includes Barbecue Chicken, Corn and Pasta Salad, Norwegian Salmon Terrine, Cinnamon Roasted Pumpkin Soup, Roasted US Turkey, Baked Smoked Ham “a l’ Orange”, Whitefish Fillet “Florentine au Gratin,” Penne Arrabiatta, Spanish Rice Pilaf and assorted desserts.

“Yuletide” (P1,150++/person) includes “Ensaladilla Rusa”, Mediterranean Rissoni Salad, Apple & Smoked Bacon Display, Tagaytay Organic Arugula, Shiitake Mushroom & Potato Soup, Slow-Roasted US Turkey, Christmas Pork Pot Roast, Baked Cream Dory Fillet, Eggplant “Parmigiana”, Spaghetti “Aglio Oglio” and a premium dessert selection.

The “Joyful” menu (P1,250++/person) offers Home Cured Salmon Gravlax, Cinnamon-Roasted Apple Salad, Chef David’s Shrimps Ceviche, Ceasar Potato Salad, Three-Onion Cream Soup, Aromatic Roast Pork & Crackling, Rosemary-Roasted US Turkey, Brown-Sugar Baked Ham, Classic “Beef Bourguignon, Italian Sausage Rigatoni, “Risso al Zafferano” and a premium dessert selection.

The “Glad Tidings” menu (P1,350++/person) consists of Roasted Pumpkin and Apple Salad, Poached Salmon, Green Peas & Rissoni Salad, Country-style French Pate, Spinach and Mushroom Quiche, Sweet & Sour Eggplant Salad, Creamy Corn Veloute, Roasted US Angus Beef Short Plate, Roasted US Turkey, Baked Double-Smoked Ham, Creamy Potato Gratin “Dauphinoise,” Whitefish and Asparagus Roulade, Seafood Rigatoni Pasta “al Pomodoro Rustico”, Christmas Pumpkin Casserole, Paella Valenciana and desserts.

Discovery Suites’ “Christmas Menu Package” can be experienced and enjoyed for a minimum of 30 persons. All packages are inclusive of free-flowing coffee and hot tea, holiday theme Christmas centerpieces, basic sound system, table numbers and place cards for the presidential table.

Pasalubongs for the holidays

The Aristocrat has come up with pasalubongs for the coming holidays. The Aristocrat Christmas Basket includes the popular Filipino favorites Java sauce, Aristocrat bagoong and Aristocrat atchara, for only P230.

The Aristocrat Bakeshop, meanwhile, offers several goodies to choose from such as the six-layered wafer, nutty butter cream with chocolate ganache Torta delos Reyes and other treats including cheese roll, ensaimada, caramel cheese square, mamon, creampuff, cake pops and chicken ala king.
