MANILA, Philippines – After stopping over in Manila, the replica of the 17th century Spanish galleon which took the Manila-Acapulco route centuries ago arrived at Pier 1 in Cebu City on Wednesday.
The galleon "Andalucia" was warmly welcomed by Cebuanos in celebration of the 1st Dia del Galeon Festival, to the delight of the crew on board.
According to local government officials, Cebu and Spain have a very good trade relationship.
The galleon will be staying in Cebu for a week before it will push through to Bohol. It is currently docked near the Malacañang sa Sugbo in Cebu.
