MANILA, Philippines – Sticking to tradition, the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) will hold a bonfire on Saturday to celebrate its fifth straight championship in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men’s basketball tournament.

This after the Ateneo Blue Eagles defeated the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers, 65-62, in Game 2 of the UAAP Season 75 finals on Thursday.

This year’s bonfire will be held at the ADMU’s Grade School grounds in Loyola Heights, Quezon City. An autograph signing session with the university’s men’s basketball team will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, followed by media interviews.

A mass will be held on 5:30 p.m., with the bonfire program to kick off at 7 p.m.

Alumni, students and fans of the Blue Eagles are expected to come in full force in this year’s bonfire, which also serves as a get-together of sorts for ADMU students and basketball enthusiasts.
