MANILA -- Think you need a break after a stressful week? Here are some of the activities you may want to check out this weekend.

1. USTepreneur Bazaar

Where: Robinsons Galleria
When: October 8-11

Do you remember the booths and tents you creatively set up during your college days to raise funds for your org? Here's a chance for you to reminisce with your good old college buddies -- and do some shopping at the same time.

Students of the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) will sell various food products, such as gourmet smoothies, craft coffee, fruit cookies, and healthy salads, among others. Graphic shirts, stylish clothes, and trendy shoes will also be sold.

This project is an initiative of UST's College of Commerce and Business Administration in partnership with Robinsons Malls Entrep Corner. It aims to promote entrepreneurial spirit among the youth by providing a venue where they can showcase their entrepreneurial ideas.

2. "Bituing Walang Ningning The Musical" re-run

Where: Resorts World Manila
When: October 8 to January 31

Did you miss the musical "Bituing Walang Ningning" when it was staged in June? Here's another chance for you to watch the classic tale of rivalry between singing stars Dorina Pineda and Lavinia Arguelles. Due to insistent public demand, "Bituing Walang Ningning The Musicial" will be brought back on stage to retell the story of the 1985 blockbuster movie.

3. Mayonnaise at Power Mac Center Sync Sessions

Where: SM Mall of Asia
When: October 10

Are you a fan of the ??alt-rock band Mayonnaise? Here's a chance for you to meet them in person. Power Mac Center brings back ??Sync Sessions, where invited bands get to jam with customers. Hale and Up Dharma Down have already joined the ??Sync Sessions earlier this year.

4. Giselle P. Kasilag's Short Stories: An exhibit of photographs and fiction in a hurry

Where: Prism Gallery in Island Tower Condominium, Makati
When: October 10 to 24

Are you a photography enthusiast or a short story reader? If you classify yourself as both, then check out this exhibit.

Kasilag marries visuals and text in 10 photographs shot in different cities, including Zurich, Barcelona, Singapore, and Kyoto. A former print journalist, she is now the co-owner of Project Art, a creative consultancy firm engaged in curatorial, editorial and archival projects.

5. Munich Oktoberfest at Marco Polo Ortigas

Where: Marco Polo Ortigas Manila
When: Until October 11

You don't need to fly to Germany to enjoy an authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest. Cucina, Marco Polo Hotel's all-day dining restaurant serves Bavarian treats like pork knuckles and different German sausages, which go well with Paulaner, one of the finest German beers.

The festivities also extends to Vu’s Sky Bar and Lounge, which pairs its best-selling Sausage Platter with Paulaner beer.

6. German conductor leads Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra

Where: Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater)

Enjoy Emilie Mayer’s Overture to Faust Op. 46, Mozart’s Symphony No.40 and Schumann’s Symphony No. 3, as performed by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of acclaimed German concert conductor Henrik Schaefer.

7. UST's “A Joyful Noise! A Thanksgiving Concert”

Where: Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater) of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Back from their successful performance at the 28th International Concert Tour of Europe, the University of Santo Tomas Singers, under the baton of conductor Prof. Fidel Gener Calalang Jr., will hold a thanksgiving concert in celebration of their recent victories in Italy and Germany.

The concert will also serve as a send-off event for the group's concert tour in South Korea, which will take them to Changwon, Jinju, Daegu, Busan and Seoul.

8. Pelicula 2015: Spanish Film Festival

Where: Greenbelt 3, Makati City
When: October 8 to 18

Are you a film buff? Then you may want to check out this film festival, which will feature classic Spanish movies like "Ocho Apellidos Vascos," "Tres Bodas de Mas," "Gente en Sitios," "Paco de Lucia," "Hermosa Juventud" and others. It will have its second leg in Intramuros on October 19.

9. “Etiquette for Mistresses” book launch

Where: SM Megamall Cinema 2
When: October 11

Can't get enough of the comedy-drama film "Etiquette for Mistresses"? Then read the book! Early birds will get a chance to get pre-signed copies of the book and a photo opportunity with stars Claudine Barretto, Iza Calzado, Kim Chiu and Kris Aquino who will be gracing the book launch.

“Etiquette for Mistresses” tells a story of four mistresses who train a newbie in becoming the "perfect mistress" for the future first gentleman of the country. Beyond this, the story also exposes the different real-life struggles that mistresses face in their secret universe.

10. Outburst: Fun run for a cause

Where: UP Academic Oval
When: October 11

The University of the Philippines' Statistical Society is holding a fun run for charity. Runners must get ready because lots of colors, water, and popping surprises await them. Interested participants can register at the UP Diliman School of Statistics and in Chris Sports stores in SM malls.
