MANILA, Philippines - Metro Home & Entertaining makes history as the first and only home and lifestyle magazine from the Philippines now available for download to iPad, Mac or PC through online store Zinio.
Readers around the world can now access the magazine anytime on their preferred platform and see the magazine in its high quality digital version.
“We chose to put Metro Home on Zinio because it showcases the best of Philippine design and stylish living,” said Ernie Lopez, head of ABS-CBN Publishing, the publisher of Metro Home.
“Metro Home & Entertaining showcases homes that would be of interest anywhere,” said the magazine editor. “These are beautiful and smart homes, which we’re convinced people from around the globe would be thrilled to look at and learn from.”
The first issue of Metro Home and Entertaining available on Zinio is the August/September "How To" issue. Succeeding issues will be launched in local newsstands and on Zinio simultaneously.
Zinio, considered the world's biggest newsstand, currently offers some 60,000 magazines for sale online. Among the magazine titles it sells are Bazaar, InStyle, Marie Claire, Esquire, Wallpaper, Elle Decor, and Dwell, among others.
ABS-CBN Publishing’s offering of the magazine on Zinio marks its entry into digital content distribution. Last August, it also launched the Metro magazine iPad application.
“ABS-CBN Publishing is a leader in innovation,” Lopez said. “We aim to engage the audience in the very latest modes.”
It only costs $2.50 to download an issue of Metro Home & Entertaining. The rate for 6 issues is $8, which is a 58% discount from newsstand rates.
