MANILA, Philippines -- The worldwide "Gangnam Style" fever has reached the newscast studio of ABS-CBN's TV Patrol.
Taking his cue from a report by Marc Logan on online parodies spawned by the worldwide hit (above), ABS-CBN anchor Noli "Kabayan" de Castro was seen trying to imitate the "Gangnam" dance moments before the end of Friday's newscast.
The impact of Psy's hit dance moves on Kabayan, however, lingered well after the live telecast of "TV Patrol," based on an image posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

In a photo posted by Star Patrol anchor Gretchen Fullido on the social networking site, Kabayan is seen imitating the "dress classy, dance cheesy" dance step.
"It's more fun on #tvpatrol25 Kabayan Noli attempting to do the Gangnam Style w/ floor direk David, ate @nizelreduta & yours trully!" Fullido said on Twitter.
Released in July 2012, Korean rapper Psy's "Gangnam Style" has become an international phenomenon with various imitations online, most recently, the "Gangnam Style - Pinoy Style" video featuring a number of Filipino celebrities.
Due to its impact, many performers have also taken on "Gangnam Style" as a dance craze. Most recently, popstar Britney Spears danced to the K-pop single, as she was taught by Psy himself on American talk show "Ellen."
