MANILA, Philippines -- Regal Films' upcoming horror flick "Pridyider" is enjoying some international publicity ahead of its release.

A trailer for the upcoming full-length film expansion of the original "Shake, Rattle and Roll" episode was recently picked up by international website Twitch, which is among the "industry's leading resource for films from around the globe."

In a write-up on the trailer for the Andi Eigenmann-starrer, Twitch founder Todd Brown poked fun at a scene where the Kapamilya actress appears in a night gown apparently taking time to relax by a refrigerator.

"As any woman in lingerie on a hot day can tell you, an open fridge can be a sexy thing indeed. I mean, just look at that woman above. Look how happy she is. How ... satisfied," Brown said. "Who needs a man when you've got lingerie and a fridge to cool your bosom?"

Directed by Rico Maria Ilarde, "Pridyider" is not meant to be taken seriously, as the Filipino director himself asserted to Brown during the latter's recent visit to Manila.

"Believe me when I say that Ilarde is absolutely aware of how silly the premise of his latest creation is. I met him in Manila back in March and he couldn't keep a straight face while telling me about it," Brown wrote.

"He's absolutely gleeful at the chance to make a movie about an evil fridge containing horrible little monsters," he added.

In the trailer, an amputated hand is seen walking on "legs" similar to those of a scorpion.

"Yes, monsters. This fridge eats you," added Brown, whose website has numerous international film correspondents.

With a trailer that is "absolutely daft and hilariously over the top," Regal Films' "Pridyider" will hit theaters in the Philippines later this year.
