MANILA, Philippines – Actress Anne Curtis and model-host Marc Nelson have joined calls to fight against world hunger in an advocacy project spearheaded by Christian relief organization World Vision.
In a video message, Curtis and Nelson invited the youth to join "12-Hour Famine," an event where participants will fast for 12 hours straight, as they engage in activities and programs with fellow "hunger-fighters."
Also in the video message are actresses Tippy Dos Santos and Jan Marini, and former beauty queen Miriam Quiambao.
According to the official website of World Vision Philippines, "12-Hour Famine" aims to "raise awareness and funds to help feed starving children."
Now on its third year, the 2012 advocacy event will be held on September 29 at The Skydome in SM North Edsa.
