MANILA -- The ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra has finally released its debut album under Star Records entitled "Decades of OPM," which pays tribute to some of the greatest Filipino songs from the '70s, '80s '90s and early 2000s.

For the album, the orchestra collaborated with singers Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Vina Morales, Angeline Quinto, Yeng Constantino, Piolo Pascual and Daniel Padilla.

Included in the album are orchestral versions of "Kapalaran" with Valentino, "Hawak Kamay" with Constantino, "Himig Handog Suite" (a medley of "Hanggang," "Kung Ako Na Lang Sana," "Ano'ng Nangyari Sa Ating Dalawa" and "Hindi Na Bale") with Quinto, a Rey Valera medley of "Pangako," "Tayong Dalawa" and "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo," "Mula Sa Puso," "Tubig at Langis" and "Be My Lady."

Aside from ballads, the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra also plays Filipino dance hits. Padilla provided the vocals for the "OPM Dance Suite," which includes "Awitin Mo Isasayaw Ko," "Katawan," "Rock Baby Rock" and "Tayo'y Magsayawan," while Enrique Gil and Abra are featured in "Totoy Bibo." The orchestra also recorded a version of "Pinoy Ako," the theme song of ABS-CBN's hit reality show "Pinoy Big Brother."

Also featured in the album are bonus tracks "Please Be Careful With My Heart," "Maging Sino Ka Man" with Nievera, "After All" with Nievera and Morales, and "Kung Kailangan Mo Ako" with Pascual.

Composed of some 42 musicians under the baton of Gerard Salonga, the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra is established through the collaborative effort of ABS-CBN and First Philippine Holdings Corp.
