MANILA – An award-winning music school in Singapore has tied up with Bantay Bata 163 for a charity concert held at the Music Museum.

Artists who performed in the concert entitled “We Are Young” included Kapamilya stars Erik Santos and Yeng Constantino.

According to Marites Seno, general manager of Academy of Rock International, they were motivated to work with Bantay Bata because of their initiative to help the less fortunate.

“It’s an awesome feeling having to raise funds for Bantay Bata,” she said. “We do have this motto that, ‘It is never too early, never too late’ [to] actually help.”

Proceeds from the concert were given to Bantay Bata to aid sick and impoverished children.

The school also donated instruments to the foundation as a gift.

International manager of Academy of Rock Zainal Abdullah hopes that with the joint project, more children will be moved to create music.

“Music is a positive thing,” he said. “We see it as a positive influence for the children [as it] helps them to nurture their talents.”
