MANILA – Here’s good news for patrons of the Beach House at University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City – the recently closed canteen is set to reopen, this time in a new location.

The announcement was made last week by a Facebook community page dedicated to the canteen.

It reported that Beach House is scheduled to open Monday, August 4, at 21 A. Ocampo Street corner C. P. Garcia Avenue, at the back of TESDA Center.

“We will miss the Sunken Garden while eating barbecue but it’s okay! What matters is that Beach House is open again,” the post read.

Located at the edge of Sunken Garden, the original Beach House closed its doors to the public last July 9 after 28 years. Several patrons lined up on July 8 to get a last taste of the canteen’s popular pork barbecue.

Beach House is also known for serving other grilled specialties and home-cooked dishes at affordable prices.
