MANILA – The Philippines gets the spotlight once again as the popular news and opinion website Huffington Post listed eight reasons to visit the Southeast Asian country.
Huffington Post referred to the Philippines as “the best tropical destination no one ever talks about” in an article published on its website on August 2.
The article written by Carla Herreria noted how the Philippines is “sprinkled with pink, white and black sand beaches, ultra-relaxing luxury resorts, charming countrysides and villages, exotic foods and an enticing nightlife.”
The eight reasons to visit the Philippines, as mentioned in the article, include: sights, food, beaches, hiking, diving, transportation (for its quirkiness), world-famous hospitality, and the Philippine mouse-deer.
Some destinations were specifically mentioned in the article: the Chocolate Hills in Bohol, Mount Mayon in Albay, Banaue Rice Terraces in Ifugao, El Nido in Palawan, Caramoan in Camarines Sur, and the tourist favorite Boracay island.
Last month, the well-known social and entertainment BuzzFeed also listed reasons “why the Philippines should be the next country you visit,” showing some of the country’s beautiful spots.
BuzzFeed has also released several articles featuring the Philippines over the past months, from its cuisine to annoying comments that Filipinos are tired of hearing.
