MANILA, Philippines -- McDonald’s Philippines announced Thursday that it is bringing back its seasonal “twister fries,” or potato curls that are spiced and deep-fried.

The company said the product will be available in all McDonald’s branches nationwide for three weeks.

“Hi guys, yes, it’s back! Get ‘em in the nearest McDonald’s store for only P60 a la carte,” McDonald’s Philippines told a Facebook user.

Fans of the fast food chain, meanwhile, turned to social networking sites to express their excitement over the return of one of McDonald’s Philippines’ bestselling items.

“Aww, man. Curly fries! I want some now,” said Facebook user Roddiek Cuyno.

“Make it available for a lifetime!” added Trixie Marray Untalan.

McDonald’s Philippines only sells twister fries for a limited run each year, increasing the product’s value.

Other fast food chains have created their own versions of seasonal potato offerings, such as Jollibee’s “crisscut fries.”
