MANILA – Magician David Blaine is set to arrive here in September for a one-night live show.
Dubbed “Real or Magic,” Blaine’s first show in the Philippines will be held on September 12 at the Araneta Coliseum, according to promoter Renen de Guia of Ovation Productions, the same group that brought magician David Copperfield in 1989.
The 90-minute event in Manila is part of Blaine’s first Asian tour.
Tickets are available at Ticketnet and are priced at P1,000 to P6,500 each.
Born in New York to Puerto Rican-Italian and Russian parents, Blaine rose to fame in 1997 for his street magic tricks.
He eventually had a series of staged endurance performances – from being encased in ice for 63 hours to holding his breath underwater for nearly 18 minutes – some of which were inspired by his idol, Harry Houdini.
Below are some of Blaine’s most popular videos on his YouTube page.
