MANILA, Philippines – Foodies need not travel all the way to Taguig or Makati as organizers of the hit Mercato Centrale weekend market will open a new food and lifestyle haven in Quezon City next week.
Mezza Norte, located inside the University of the Philippines-Ayala Technohub along Commonwealth Avenue, will be home to a variety of home-cooked specialties and artisanal products, similar to those found in Mercato Centrale and the smaller Distrito Night Food Market in Makati City.
It will be open to the public from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, starting on July 26.
Anton Diaz, co-founder of the food market, said in his blog that Mezza Norte will also feature new items on top of the Mercato Centrale favorites.
He said some of the vendors include Edgy’s Foodtrip (baby back ribs), Dadi’s Berd (charcoal-grilled chicken), PollynWalnut Enterprise (barbecue and pastries), Bracewealth Enterprise (roasted chicken), Lu Chi Authentic Dimsum House, Sinangag Trip (tocilog and other Filipino breakfast items), and Maria’s Ilocos Empanada, among many others.
More than 40 vendors will be selling their specialties at the launch on July 26, Diaz added.
Aside from food and beverages, Mezza Norte will also offer free Wi-Fi and live acoustic entertainment.
