MANILA, Philippines – Dolphy, dubbed the country’s "King of Comedy," may have passed away but his legacy remains.

To honor the comedy icon, Dolphy’s grandchildren have begun printing T-shirts that bear his name and image.

John, Kyle and Matthew Quizon started printing the shirts that they have designed on Wednesday.

They are planning to start a T-shirt business using their designs, which they will call “The King’s Clothing.”

The shirts incorporate images of Dolphy as well as a crown and ten stars.

“Kapag Dolphy kasi para sa akin ten stars eh, perfect ten. May crown kasi he’s a king,” said John, one of Dolphy’s grandkids.

Dolphy’s remains are at The Heritage Park in Taguig City, where Dolphy memorabilia are also being sold.

Aside from T-shirts, pins, fans, nail cutters, magnets and umbrellas are also being sold outside the memorial park.

One of Dolphy’s fans, Marlene, bought a shirt outside Heritage to honor the Comedy King.

“Talagang love ko si Dolphy sobrang mamatay-matay ako sa kakatawa kapag pinapanood ko siya, lalo na sa ‘John en Marsha’ before. Mamimiss ko si Dolphy,” she said.

Dolphy succumbed to multiple organ failure Tuesday night. He was 83 years old. -- Report from Jasmin Romero, ABS-CBN News
