Listeners of DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 can expect a month full of prizes and giveaways as it celebrates its 28th year of broadcast and service to Filipinos.

Starting July 1, the country's leading AM radio station will kick off its month-long promo for its anniversary entitled "Radyo sa 28".

DZMM Station Manager Marah Faner-Capuyan said listeners who wish to participate must stay tuned to the station's programs, via DZMM 630 (AM), DZMM TeleRadyo (cable) or audio streaming in, starting Tuesday morning.

Those who want to join "Radyo sa 28" have two options: by listening to radio anchors' announcements or by going directly to areas where Radyo Patrol reporters are located.

Every day, radio anchors will pitch the promo that will be followed by a trivia question.

To win, participants may send their answer via SMS or text: DZMM [space] REACT [space] RADYO, name, address and answer to the trivia question, then send to 2366.

Anchors will announce the winner for the day, who will be randomly selected from the list of senders with correct answers.

DZMM listeners may also instantly win the prizes at stake by answering trivia questions to be given by Radyo Patrol reporters in the field.

"28 taon na tayong nasa ere so 'yung mga tanong natin, syempre medyo babalikan natin ang nakaraan," said Capuyan.

Winning participants who will claim their prizes will also have a chance to have a picture with their favorite DZMM anchor.

'DZMM gives back'

Aside from the month-long promo, DZMM will also be 'giving back' to Kapamilyas during the station's anniversary.

On July 5, news and commentary radio show Garantisadong Balita, hosted by Gerry Baja, will give away fiberglass boats to Typhoon Yolanda victims in Samar and Leyte.

This is in partnership with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR).

On July 11, DZMM, ABS-CBN News and ABS-CBN Regional will have a blood-letting project.

The project, entitled "Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay," will be held in the following areas:

  • ABS-CBN Studio 8 in Quezon City
  • Brokenshire College in Davao City
  • Bicol Medical Center Auditorium in Naga City
  • Marymart Mall Center 2 in Iloilo City
  • People's Park in Baguio City

Booths will be open from 6 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.

"Ang kapalit nito para naman sa mga Kapamilya natin na nangangailangan ng dugo, maaari po kayong tumawag dito sa DZMM para matulungan naman namin kayo na makapaghanap ng source para sa kailangan ninyong dugo," Capuyan added.
