Masked by recent headlines about disputes over territory between the Philippines and China is a well-integrated Chinese community in the city of Manila. Manila's Chinatown is a bustling place where Filipinos and Chinese migrants engage in brisk trade and cultural learnings. Binondo is where many residents of the city and its visitors buy low-cost Chinese products and get a taste of Chinese food.

See what a day is like in Chinatown via these pictures taken by photographer Rem Zamora.

New visitors need not fear getting lost; there is an English translation on most signs.
