MANILA, Philippines – Hollywood actor Liam Hemsworth is the latest addition to the roster of international endorsers of local clothing brand Bench.
Hemsworth, who is more popularly known as Gale Hawthorne in the hit movie “The Hunger Games,” is not the first international celebrity to endorse the apparel brand.
Before him, Bench was able to clinch deals with "American Idol" alumnus David Archuleta, American singer Joe Jonas, Michael Trevino of "The Vampire Diaries," Lucy Hale of "Pretty Little Liars," and Korean superstars Dong Hae and Si Won of Super Junior.
According to an article by Ricky Lo, which was published on The Philippine Star’s last Saturday, Bench honcho Ben Chan was in Los Angeles two weeks ago to finalize the contract with Hemsworth.
Lo said Chan also “supervised the pictorial for the Bench posters and billboards” of Hemsworth, who hit the headlines recently with his engagement to American singer-actress Miley Cyrus.
Hemworth's billboards can be seen near the Guadalupe bridge.
He is the younger brother of Chris Hemsworth, who played “Thor” in the movie version of the Marvel superhero, and the worldwide blockbuster hit "The Avengers."
