Coca adds cocktail bar to SM Aura restaurant

MANILA – The Thai-Chinese fusion restaurant Coca has added Asian-inspired cocktails to its menu with the opening of the new Coca Bar at the SM Aura Premier.

Coca's bar concept mixes influences from Bangkok and Hong Kong with Thai- and Chinese-infused tapas in a stylish atmosphere.

“With Coca Bar, we dial up the sexiness and spiciness to create a chic new spot for cocktails, mixed to perfection by our dashing English mixologist, Liam Gillies," Coca Restaurant Philippines general manager Karen Tanchanco-Caballero said.

“Coca is all about connecting people in stylish restaurants buzzing with life, energy and conversation, and that will certainly be our guiding inspiration for Coca Bar," she added.

Coca is part of the Mango Tree Group of Restaurants,w hich includes the flagship Mango Tree in Bonifacio Global City, two Mango Tree Bistrobars in Trinoma and Greenbelt 5 and Mango Tree Cafe in SM Southmall in Las Pinas City, plus a Coca Cafe in SM Jazz Makati.

Mango Tree Worldwide's Bangkok-based chief executive Pitaya Phanphensophon, flew in to Manila from Bangkok to attend the launch of Coca Bar.

He congratulated Coca Bar's team on a job well done.

“Our success worldwide, and certainly in the Philippines, is down to choosing great partners, having unique concepts, a sound strategy and, above all, a team which believes in itself,” Pitaya said.
