MANILA, Philippines – The third-generation iPad is now available in Apple Store Philippines and in resellers in the country, days after local telecommunications firm Globe Telecom started selling the device as part of its data plans.
The new iPad, which comes in black or white, is priced between P23,990 and P39,990, depending on the memory size and Internet connection used.
The cheapest, which costs P23,990, has 16 gigabytes of storage and connects to the Internet over Wi-Fi networks. Other Wi-Fi models are priced at P28,990 (32 GB) and P33,990 (64 GB).
IPads that connect to the Internet over Wi-Fi and fast mobile data networks are priced at P29,990 for 16 GB, P34,990 for 32 GB, and P39,990 for 64 GB.
A customer may only order a maximum of two tablets at Apple Store Philippines at this time.
iPad 2 prices go down
Meanwhile, prices of iPad 2 variants have been pulled down following the release of the newer tablets.
The gadgets are now priced at P18,990 (16 GB, Wi-Fi) and P24,990 (16 GB, Wi-Fi and 3G).
On Tuesday, Globe started selling the third-generation iPad under its Tattoo data plans.
The device was launched in the United States last March.
