MANILA – “X-Men: Days of Future Past” dominated the local box office during its opening weekend in Philippine theaters.
The movie earned P175 million when it was shown in almost 400 cinemas nationwide from May 21 to 25.
The top theaters who raked in bulk of receipts in the box office include SM Megamall with P8.2 million, followed by SM Mall of Asia (P7.8 million), Trinoma (P7.7 million), SM North EDSA/The Block (P6.3 million) and Glorietta 4 (P5.9 million).
According to a statement released by 20th Century Fox Philippines, “X-Men: Days of Future Past” had the second biggest opening weekend in the Philippines next to “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” with P251 million.
