MANILA – ABS-CBN’s The Filipino Channel (TFC) is inviting Filipinos across the globe to submit their own version of a dance video featuring father and son tandem Gary and Gab Valenciano as the network marks its 20th year.

The Valencianos danced to the song “Galing ng Filipino,” which pays tribute to the innate greatness of Filipinos.

“The song composed by Jonathan Manalo and Jay Santiago and arranged by Gary (Valenciano) himself can be interpreted by Filipinos around the world in a million ways, and that’s the beauty of it,” said Jojo Ines, ABS-CBN Global chief marketing officer.

“While for this promo we want the entries to keep the signature dance moves as the foundation, we want to see their overlay because interpretation is subjective and unique to each person. Interpreting music equals inspiration. How you are inspired to move to it is how you interpret it. That’s what it means to you. With this promo, we want Filipinos to find themselves in this song and dance and express themselves,” Ines added.

TFC’s dance moves promo for “Galing ng Filipino” is open to all persons of Filipino lineage aged 18 years old and above.

Interested applicants are required to download the “Galing ng Filipino” theme song, create a video doing the dance moves, and submit the YouTube link of their video to the TFC microsite.

Deadline for the submission of entries is on June 22, 2014.

Winners will receive TFC merchandise and a chance to be featured on the network and its microsite. They will be notified through the e-mail addresses they encoded when they registered their videos.
