MANILA – Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines announced on Monday that the two sequels of the "Rurouni Kenshin" live action movie will be screened in the Philippines in August and September this year.
The first sequel, "Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno," will be released in the country on August 20.
This will be followed one month after by "Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends" on September 24.
In Japan, the two movies will be shown on August 1 and September 13, respectively.
"Confirmed! Rurouni Kenshin 2 & 3 arrives in local theaters on August 20 and September 24," Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines said in a Facebook post to its more than 1.4 million fans on Monday.
In "Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno / The Legend Ends," protagonist Kenshin Himura (Takeru Satoh) fights against the burnt and bandaged Makoto Shishio (Tatsuya Fujiwara) and members of his elite group Juppongatana.
The first "Rurouni Kenshin" live action movie was screened in Japan in August 2012. It was shown in selected cinemas in the Philippines in December of the same year.
