MANILA - Organizers of the 2015 concert of One Direction in Manila have requested a second show as thousands of frenzied fans camped out in front of the Mall of Asia Arena on Friday to get tickets.
ABS-CBN News' Ginger Conejero reported that a "mini chaos ensued inside the MOA Arena after it was announced that the VIP tickets were already sold out."
Some of the fans had been waiting as early as 6 a.m. on Thursday to get tickets to One Direction's first concert in Manila, which will be held on March 21, 2015.
Some fans who were lucky enough to get tickets expressed their happiness and excitement on Twitter, while others also took to the microblogging site to vent their disappointment over the high prices.
The words "VIP is SOLD OUT" topped the local trending topics of Twitter on Friday.
Tickets to the One Direction concert are priced from P1,150 for general admission to P17,950 for VIP.
Fans were only allowed to buy five tickets each on Friday. Three fans bought a total of 15 VIP tickets for a total of roughly P270,000, according to Conejero.
Meanwhile, those who were not able to score tickets are hoping that a second One Direction concert will push through in Manila.
