Universal Studios has released a preview video of its newest Harry Potter-themed ride, the Escape from Gringotts, which will debut in the U.S. this summer.

The ride will be part of the soon-to-be-unveiled expansion of the theme park's Wizarding World of Harry Potter and recreates a scene from the final of the book's film series.

"The ride picks the adventure up right after Harry, Ron, Hermoine, and Griphook have come through the waterfall. And you see that moment and then you're taken into a whole new direction on your way to the vault," explained Warwick Davis, who played Griphook in the series.

The expansion, called Diagon Alley after the book and movie series' wizarding business district, will largely be geared toward souvenir shopping and dining. It will feature several familiar named shops, which include Magical Menagerie, Quality Quidditch Supplies and The Leaky Cauldron.

"This is going to be an amazing ride and is going to be quite scary because this is the first time fans can, kinda experience the evil of Voldemort in 3D. I think that is going to be a lot to handle," added Rupert Grint, better known as Ron Weasley of the hit franchise.

The teaser, uploaded Tuesday, coincides with the announcement that the much-anticipated Harry Potter spinoff "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" will hit movie screens on November 18, 2016.

Both comes weeks after Universal Studios Japan announced that a Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park of its own --the first outside of the U.S., will open in July.
