MANILA – Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee is the new Taoid Heritage Ambassador of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Just in time for the celebration of National Heritage Month, Dee welcomed the task of helping seek funds for the rehabilitation of heritage sites affected by recent calamities.

He personally visited historical churches in the Bicol region.

Dee is also scheduled to visit the churches in Bohol which crumbled during the magnitude 7.2 earthquake in October last year.

“Nakikiisa ako sa paniniwala na dapat nating imulat sa mga kabataan sa mura nilang isipan ang paksa ng heritage conservation dahil sila ang susunod na salinlahi na makikinabang dito,” he said.

In his Instagram account, Dee said he is “proud and privileged to be in the service of our country.”

He said, “#AmbassadorEnchongLovesCultureAndTheArts YES INDEED! This will be the year-long hashtag of @nccaofficial as I go all over the country to promote Heritage Conservation and Youth involvement for our Country's Traditional activities. Proud and privileged to be in the service of our Country. #PinoyAko pinagmamalaki ko ito.”
