MANILA, Philippines - In response to increased demand, Southeast Asian Airlines (SEAIR) will add flights to Batanes until the end of the month.

In a statement, the country's premiere leisure airline said it would increase flights to Batanes from May 8 to 31.

The boost in flights will allow more tourists to experience the Batanes spring season, which is characterized by cool temperatures as low as 17 degrees Celsius.

Batanes, one of the country's top tourist destinations, experiences 4 seasons due to its proximity to Taiwan.

The island is also popular for its good food, spectacular view and gorgeous rock beaches.

SEAIR is currently selling one-way tickets to Batanes for as low as P3,455.20 each, which are good for travel from June 16 to October 15, 2010.

One-way tickets to Caticlan, the nearest jump-off point to tourist favorite Boracay island, are also sold for as low as P1,663.20 each.
