MANILA, Philippines - Cartoon Network is set to bring to life its hero adventures on television with a "Hero Up Challenge -- Giant Maze" event this Sunday.

To be held at the SM Mall of Asia, the whole-day event will feature hero challenges, obstacle games and loads of Cartoon Network giveaways.

The network promises to give special prizes to kids who show off their adventurous, inventive and heroic spirit.

The free-for-all event is part of Cartoon Network's "Hero Up" campaign, which features a lineup of hero-themed programs for kids this summer.

Last month, the network invited kids to create their own superheroes as its way of promoting green initiatives.

Cartoon Network is one of the leading kids' channels in the Philippines, and claims to be the number one children's network in Asia Pacific.

Aside from showcasing original programs, Cartoon Network draws from the world's largest cartoon library of Warner Bros., MGM and Hanna-Barbera titles.
