MANILA – Holy Week is usually a time for prayer and reflection. However, for some Filipinos, it is also their only chance to go on a vacation.
On Tuesday, "TV Patrol" asked on Facebook and Twitter: "Kapamilya, paano mo gugunitain ang Semana Santa?"
Majority of the social media users who responded to the question still plan to observe Filipino Catholic traditions during Holy Week, such as the Visita Iglesia.
Others who choose to stay indoors also shared their own ways of observing Holy Week practices.
@lance_me plan for an indoor activity were he can reminisce the greatness and sufferings of Christ.
Filipino devotees, depending on their religion, have developed various traditions during the Holy Week. Some go to Mt. Banahaw, while there are those who have themselves crucified on Good Friday , particularly in Cutud, Pampanga.
But others simply see the Holy Week as a time to bond with their families.
@AngieGandola and @matetz_08 seems so poetic in their tweet.
