Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria’s Seven Corners restaurant will hold an interactive buffet showcasing the culinary creations of Japanese master chef Seiji Kamura for the month of April.
The buffet price starts at P1,500++ per person, with diners getting the chance to win a roundtrip ticket for two to Nagoya, Japan courtesy of Cebu Pacific.
On April 12, Kamura will conduct a cooking class at the Seven Corners private room, where he will teach his recipes such as Rainbow Maki, Crispy Kani Pomelo Salad and Green Tea with Red Mongo Jelly.
Born in Japan and lived in Manila for 22 years, Kamura has three successful restaurants – Miro, Kasei and Seiji.
He is a co-author of three cookbooks on Japanese and French cuisine in Japan, and also wrote a book titled “Japanese Cooking for Filipinos.”
Kamura earned a degree in culinary arts at the Tokyo Cooking Academy. He underwent a two-year stint in France training under Paul Bucose, one of the proponents of Nouvelle Cuisine.

Filipino-Spanish restaurant Casa Roces will hold a Dine with Wine event from 12 noon to 9 p.m. on April 4.
The one-day event will feature a free-flowing selection of Spanish boutique wines and sangria and a new set of dishes.
Tapas include salpicao, gambas, banana bacon bites, choritos a la Roces, oyster mushroom frittura and boquerones, among others. There will also be an array of ensaimada concoctions as well as modern twists on well-loved Spanish dishes such as paella.
