MANILA, Philippines – The Sine Pinoy National Workshop, a first-of-its-kind effort, will bring professional filmmakers, actors and performing arts luminaries to over 10 provinces in the country for workshops that will culminate in a tourism-inspired film festival.

Organized by D’Ream Arts Production, Sine Pinoy will offer workshops for theater arts, singing, acting, and production for television and film.

Workshops will be held over the months of April and May in key cities and provinces in the Philippines including General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Cebu, Bacolod, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Iloilo, Baguio, Legaspi and Manila.

The national workshop will culminate in “Unang Sine Pinoy Festival,” where full-length films showcasing the workshop participants and the cities they represent will be featured.

The film festival will also highlight a series of short films that depict and promote participating cities and provinces.

D’Ream Arts Production said the entries for the Unang Sine Pinoy Festival will be announced in July and will be marketed nationwide.
