Corona worked in Palace under FVR

He was asked to testify on the veracity of Corona’s Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN) when he was still working in the Palace for then-President Fidel V. Ramos. His testimony was questioned since it did not have anything to do with the allegation of the prosecution.

Corona owns a condo--plus 3 parking lots--at The Bellagio

He was asked to testify on the Corona family’s properties in Taguig. Prosecution members earlier presented documents purporting to show the sale of a 303.5-square-meter unit with three parking slots at The Bellagio in December 2009, six months before Corona’s appointment as Chief Justice by outgoing President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Corona's owns a property in La Vista, a condo in One Burgundy

He was asked to give details on the Coronas’ alleged properties in Marikina. Some of the properties were included in the list of 45 properties that the prosecution claimed were owned by the Coronas.

'Corona didn't pay right taxes'

CJ paid P6.1M for McKinley Hill property

Coronas own a condo at Bonifacio Ridge

He testified that the Coronas issued checks for the unit at the Bonifacio Ridge Condominium in Taguig. He said these were paid in 2 installment terms. He admitted not seeing if the unit was turned over to the Coronas.

'Megaworld gave CJ a 40% discount and more'

He testified that it was "force majeure" which prompted the company to give a 40% discount amounting to P10 million to Corona for his condominium at The Bellagio in Fort Bonifacio. His testimony backfired on the prosecution.

Basa-Guidote's registration revoked since 2003

He said Basa-Guidote Enterprises Inc.’s certificate of registration was revoked in 2003 and has thus been dissolved as a company. BGEI is the company owned by the family of Cristina Corona. The prosecution said this puts to question the truthfulness of Corona’s SALN, which shows an P11-million cash advance from BGEI which Corona supposedly used to pay for his property purchases.

Coronas paid P3.5M for The Columns

She testified that the Coronas bought a 48-square-meter condominium unit in The Columns in Makati City for P3,588,931 in 2003. She said the Coronas started paying in installments in 2003 but the unit was only fully paid in 2004.

Coronas own a P3.5M condo in One Burgundy

He brought documents in connection with the condominium unit bought by Corona and his wife in Katipunan, Quezon City. The prosecution alleged Corona belatedly disclosed in 2003 the unit even if it was purchased in 1997. The unit is worth P3.5 million, based on the reservation agreement.

'Corona's dollar accounts are absolutely secret'

He was asked to testify on Corona’s dollar accounts with PSBank. He refused, however, saying the Foreign Currency Deposit Act disallows the disclosure of foreign currency accounts. He did, however, testify on Corona's peso accounts in PSBank.

Corona had P12M in BPI in end 2010

She said Corona's checking account with account number 1445-8030-61 had a total balance of P12,024,067.70 as of December 31, 2010. This is higher than the P3.5 million in cash and investments Corona declared in his 2010 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN).

'Prosecution's specimen card is fake'

She brought records showing that Corona had P19.7 million cash PSBank Katipunan by end-December 2010. She became controversial when the issue of a specimen card bearing Corona’s alleged dollar account was brought out by the prosecution. Senator-judge Jinggoy Estrada said Tiongson’s family was close to the family of lead prosecutor Niel Tupas. She denied, however, that the specimen card was leaked by the branch. She said the card was “fake.”

'My boss just gave birth, substitute lang ho'

Corona's 'injustice' to FASAP
