Senator Grace Poe-Llamanzares and husband Neil
MANILA -- Senator Grace Poe-Llamanzares revealed what she gave her husband for his birthday.
In an interview on DZMM on Thursday, the lady senator said she prepared a simple meal and present for her husband.
"Simple lang, binilhan ko siya ng polo, yung long sleeves, na alam kong magagamit niya na hindi masyadong formal. Gusto naman niya, sinuot na niya agad para lang ipakita sa akin."
As the pork barrel scandal continues to be a hot topic, she joked that they will not be serving any "pork" on her husband's birthday.
Poe and her husband, Teodoro Misael "Neil" Llamanzares, were married in 1991. The two met when Poe was a senior in high school, and they dated soon afterwards.
They wed after Poe graduated from Boston College, against the wishes of her late father, Fernando Poe, Jr., who wanted her to have a career first before marriage.
Poe and her husband have three children: one son, who was born in 1992, and two daughters, born in 1998, and in 2004.
Llamanzares currently works as an IT consultant at San Miguel Corporation.
