MANILA, Philippines – Candidates of Bb. Pilipinas 2013 took part in bringing smiles in the lives of children with cleft lip and cleft palate.

The beauty queen hopefuls assisted in Operation Smile’s medical mission held in Sta. Ana Hospital in Manila recently, with the aim of raising funds for the organization’s beneficiaries.

Operation Smile conducts 40 harelip operations per month.

According to Miss Universe third runner up Shamcey Supsup, she feels honored that Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. decided to be a part of this cause.

“Dreams can come true, tumulong lang tayo sa kanila,” she said.

Meanwhile, former Kapamilya star Chadleen Ladco-o, who previously had a cleft palate, said she is glad that Bb. Pilipinas 2013 beauties went out of their way to help these kids.

The final line-up of candidates will compete for the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe crown on April 14.
