Gretchen's daughter to model for American Eagle

Dominique Barretto-Cojuangco sits down for her first TV interview.

MANILA, Philippines – Dominique Cojuangco, the daughter of actress Gretchen Barretto and businessman Tony Boy Cojuangco, will be a guest model for American Eagle Outfitters during the brand’s Philippine launch on Thursday, February 28.

Barretto made the announcement on the photo-sharing website Instagram, citing a text message from Ben Chan of Bench, the company responsible for bringing American Eagle Outfitters to the country.

“Hi Greta, would like to know if Dominique would like to model for American Eagle on 28 Feb, Thursday. We’re launching the brand at the Boni Global City. Would be delighted to have her as a guest model. Thanks,” the text message read.

Barretto gave this caption to the screenshot of Chan’s message: “Looks like @dominiquecojuangco is stealing my thunder. I’m loving it.”

She then added another photo, which showed an invitation to the American Eagle Philippines event. It had the caption, “Come watch @dominiquecojuangco be a guest model for American Eagle.”

Cojuangco, who just turned 18 over the weekend, for her part said: "Whee thank you, Tito @bcbench  So excited!"

Founded in 1977, American Eagle Outfitters is known for its edgy and affordable clothes and accessories. Aside from the United States, the company has stores in Canada, Puerto Rico, Egypt, Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Russia, Japan, Hong Kong and Poland.

Its Philippine branch is located at Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City and will be open to the public on March 1.
