Common Thread’s first Philippine store at Greenbelt 5 mall

MANILA – A newly launched store at a mall in Makati City offers cute, quirky and colorful lifestyle products targeted mainly at teens and young adults.

Located at Greenbelt 5, Common Thread handpicks a group of brands to offer wardrobe staples, eye-catching accessories and unique gift suggestions.

The store, which has branches in Singapore and Malaysia, was brought to Manila by Terry S.A., the exclusive distributor of Havaianas flip-flops in the country.

Terry’s PR and advertising officer Lynch Imbat said the idea behind Common Thread is to sell items that are “authentic” and “personal.”

“We want to offer something that can be a part of a person’s lifestyle, something that is more personal and authentic and unique,” Imbat told ABS-CBNnews.com.

Some products sold at Common Thread are borderline hipster, with items like wooden iPads, Ray-Ban sunglasses, city guides with “secret” spots and environment-friendly towels.

There is even a book here titled “Hipster Guide” for those who want to know more about the subculture.

Since the store is brought by Terry, it also carries different designs of Havaianas flip-flops and Thread 365 shirts.

Here are some quick favorites at Common Thread’s first store in Manila:

Bensimon shoes (P2,095 to P2,595)
Allegrina flats (P1,950)
Scribble cuffs (P495 each)
Common Thread anchor earrings (P495)
Luxe city guide (P495)
“Hipster Guide” book (P795)
Swappeez sandals (P1,895)
