MANILA, Philippines – The 65 members of Korea’s Yewon Dance Company arrived in Manila for a 2-day performance at the Aliw Theatre in Pasay City on Saturday and Sunday.

Philippines’ prima ballerina Liza Macuja-Elizalde welcomed the Yewon Dance Company at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 upon their arrival on board Philippine Airlines flight PR437 from Seoul, Korea.
Korea’s prima ballerina Kim Na Jeong led the dance troupe delegation, whose repertoire features classical and contemporary pieces.
Macuja-Elizalde said the visit will enhance the relationship of Philippines and Korea through contemporary dance.
She added that the performance will bridge the communication gap and is easily understood with their graceful movements.
The event was conceptualized by Manila Ballet Philippines and the Yewon Dance Company.
