3. World heritage sites and film locations

Britain is home to 25 UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the Stonehenge, the Dorset and East Devon Coast and the Tower of London.

Other royal attractions here include the Windsor Castle, Westminster Abbey, Balmoral Castle and Estate, Palace of Holyroodhouse, Hampton Court Palace, Edinburgh Castle and Tower of London.

5. Sporting events

Hear the roar of the crowd at a football match, play golf at St. Andrews or discover tennis and tradition at Wimbledon. Football, cricket, rugby, golf – name a sport and there’s a good chance that Brits invented it, wrote the rules or are just plain obsessed by it.

6. Theater

Take a pick from long-running musicals, classic plays or brand new works making their West End debut.

10. Higher education

The UK has a great reputation when it comes to education – four of the top six universities in the world are located here.
