MANILA – Studio 23's "Iba-Balita" bade farewell on Thursday as the network paves the way for "ABS-CBN Sports+Action".

"Iba-Balita" will be replaced by "News+" that will also be anchored by Anthony Taberna.

Joining Taberna in the news program is sexy actress Jef Gaitan of "Banana Split" fame who will deliver showbiz news.

"Sa Lunes, tayong lahat ay magbabagong bihis, abangan ang mga bagong mukha ng balita, konektado kayo sa paparating na pagbabago," Taberna said during the final newscast of "Iba-Balita" on Thursday.

Taberna also thanked all the viewers of "Iba-Balita" and invited them to watch the upcoming "News+".

Taberna said "News+" will offer something new to its audience.

ABS-CBN on Thursday launched its newest channel that will feature action-packed local and international sporting events.

"ABS-CBN Sports+Action" will replace Studio 23 and continue its coverage of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the Azkals, Top Rank fights, and Pinoy Pride bouts.

It will also continue the special coverage of major international sporting events like the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and the FIFA World Cup.

ABS-CBN Sports+Action will work alongside the network's cable TV, pay-per-view and digital platforms to create a unique and engaging sports hub for Filipino sports fans.
