MANILA – American restaurant Chili's has launched its newest line of margaritas in its branches in the Philippines.

The restaurant first unveiled its "Chili's Rita Trio" promo at its SM Megamall branch on Wednesday, letting customers choose three maragaritas out of its five flavors for P350.

All margaritas are mixed with the standard 1800 Tequila and are added with variations of alcohol drinks and other ingredients.

The five classic flavors include Pomegranate Maragrita (mixed with Absolut Citron and pomegranate syrup), Tropical Sunrise (made with Melon Liqueur, pineapple juice and a splash of grenadine), Blue Pacific Margarita (a combination of Cointreau and Blue Curacao), El Nino Margarita (added with Cointreau Orange Liqueur and fresh orange juice), and Chambord 1800 Margarita (mixed with Cointrue Orange Liquer and Chambord).

According to Chili's managing director Luigi Vera, the "Rita Trio" promo is adopted from the restaurant's branches in the United States where it gained popularity and success.

"The States [branches] came out with this program and they started calling it ‘Rita Trio’. We are taking these premium maragaritas and putting it in smaller portions so we can share or if you’re a person who wants to try different things, you can order and [try all flavors]," said Vera.

Aside from the "Rita Trio", Chili’s also added new flavors to its Premium Margarita line-up, all of which are mixed with the standard Patron Silver Tequila.

Now included in the menu are Platinum President Margarita (made with Cointreau, Orange Liquer, Fundador Reserve brandy and sweet and sour), Patron Pomegranate Maragarita (a combination Cointrue Orange Liquer, pomegranate syrup and 7-Up) and Grand Patron Margarita (mixed with Grand Marnier and fresh lime).

Chili's is currently celebrating its 17th year in the Philippines.
