MANILA – Filipinos here and abroad celebrated the win of "X Factor Israel" grand winner Rose "Osang" Fostanes.

Netizens took over Twitter and Facebook as "TV Patrol" aired the story about Fostanes' inspiring win on Wednesday night.

Overseas Filipino workers, particularly those in the Middle East, quickly tweeted their messages to Osang whose win made them even more proud to be be Pinoys based abroad.

Facebook user Jocelyn Malinao Orongan said she considers Fostanes "the new hero for all Filipino OFW co-workers" and hopes that "the song that u sing might be the theme song of all OFW WORKERS ( MY WAY) the lyrics are so meaningful!!!"

Emely Paran Bayabos also said on Facebook that Osang gave domestic helpers like her honor and pride despite their status in life.

"Isang karangalan po namin mga DH saan man panig ng mundo at isa sa aming kasamahan na nagdadala ng tropeyo bilang pagpapakita ng kanyang kakayahan... Kami po ay dalawang kamay itataas sa pagpupugay sa iyong kagandahang talento congratulations!!! At mabuhay ka Osang mula sa amin mga DH at sa ating mga kasamahan," she said.

Netizens were also inspired by the life story of Fostanes who was forced to work abroad because of poverty.

Osang also said in an earlier interview that she was initially reluctant to join "X Factor Israel" in fear of being ridiculed for her looks and status in life.

But the Pinay caregiver, inspired by her family and loved ones, never gave up pursuing her dreams.

Meanwhile, many netizens believe that the singing caregiver has also broken the curse of the song "My Way".

The Pinoy karaoke favorite, which Fostanes performed to win the "X Factor Israel" finals, is known in many places for being the cause of fights that usually end up in deaths.

But after Osang's win, many believe that the jinx that surrounds the Frank Sinatra classic is no more.

With Osang's choice of song, Twitter user Leonora Lorna Li believes that "My Way" will be a hit among karaoke lovers again, as Filipinos celebrate their kababayan's victory.

Somewhat proving Li's tweet, Angelo Barretto tweeted that he is beginning to hear his neighbors sing "My Way".

Meanwhile, Facebook user Terry Flores said that "My Way" is the fitting song, not only for Osang, but also for all the ordinary Filipinos working hard to achieve their dreams.

"It is just ordinary song for us, it is a song for striving folks on the street, from farm workers, fishermen, laborers, maids and servants, office employees, military, mediocre singers and even some politicians, whose convection is to win the struggles in life. Mind you, countless event on parties and karaoke bars raw incidents was caused by this street popular song. The rendition of Rose in this song was so timely and realistic as OFW away from home and family. Indeed, it is a factual realization of a saying, "no one can deny to someone whose time has come." Congratulation to Rose!!! It is your time to release your sweet fragrance. Ikaw na!!!" he said.

Not done with Osang' winning piece, "TV Patrol" anchors Noli de Castro, Korina Sanchez and Ted Failon also tried their best to reach the high notes of the song "My Way" before the newscast ended on Wednesday night.
