From one of the world's most powerful leaders stepping down to a "very good" Philippine economy, a feng shui expert gives his take on the upcoming year of the "earth dog."

But feng shui consultant Andy Tan is quick to clarify that the readings are based on the lunar calendar, which will only come into effect on the first day of the new year, February 16.

Speaking on "Dateline Philippines" Saturday, Tan predicts President Rodrigo Duterte's health "will improve," calling rumors hounding his current state as "fake news." Duterte, according to Tan, is a "wood rooster."

"The incoming earth dog, which is still compatible . . . the earth with the dog and then the element is wood and earth, (it's) very much compatible. So, in summary, his health would improve and I'm not worried anything (sic) about his health. He's as strong as a bull," Tan said.

But Tan added that, should the president not finish his term, it would be due to another reason.

"If he will not finish his term, it's not due to health. That's my reading," said Tan "It's either he would quit or he will stop."

For Vice-President Leni Robredo and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, Tan said they will face "challenges," possibly leading them to lose their positions.

The feng shui expert clarified that his readings have nothing to do about traits and that he is apolitical.

"The VP, ma'am Leni, it will be totally different. There will be a drastic movement or a drastic change. Simply because she belongs to the wood dragon sign and the No. 1 enemy of the dragon is the incoming dog . . . meaning to say, there will be lots of struggles, there would be lots of tests. She might not even know what hit her," Tan said.

As for Sereno, a metal rat born on July 2, 1960, Tan predicted no impeachment for the embattled leader because she will "get out of the trouble because it's so dirty and things like that."

As for the Philippine economy, Tan said he is "happy" and "excited" for 2018 because of the programs and projects down the pipeline.

"It's now BBB (build, build, build), inverted from PPP from six years ago. So B is a better feng shui than P . . . So, the Philippine economy will be very good. Nothing to do with the politicians. It's more of we're so blessed," Tan said.

Tan also said US President Donald Trump won't be able to finish his term.

"Just like the one in northern hemisphere. The dog sign . . . President Trump, he will not finish his term. I'm very sure of that," Tan said.
