MANILA -- Planning to treat your family and friends this weekend? Here are some of the events and shows you might want to see.
1. Vienna Boys Choir
Where: PICC Plenary Hall
When: November 11
Travelling straight from Austria, the Vienna Boys Choir will have a one-night only concert in Manila. This is a charity concert spearheaded by Alumni Association of Xavier School for the benefit of the Fr. Tritz ERDA Tech School and the health fund for retired teachers of Xavier School.
The Vienna Boys is considered as one of the oldest choirs existing in the world best known for their boy sopranos and altos between the ages of 10 and 14. They recently had a comeback concert with sold-out performances in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, China, Taiwan and Manila.
2. "Tatlong Linggong Pag-ibig"
Where: Power Mac Center Spotlight, Circuit Makati
When: November 11-25
Dalanghita Productions presents “Tatlong Linggong Pag-ibig,” featuring six original one-act Filipino productions, which will highlight the talents of country’s noted playwrights, directors, musical directors and actors.
The show will be divided in two sets. Set A features "Isanlibong Taon" by Pertee Brinas, "Mula Sa Kulimliman" by Carlo Vergara and "Malapit Man, Malayo Rin by Chris Martinez.
Set B has "Corazon Negro" by Layeta Bucoy, "Rom.com" by George De Jesus III and "Ang Una at Comeback Album ni Pete" by Juan Miguel Severo.
3. "Fun Home"
Where: Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati
When: November 10-27
"Fun Home," which won five Tony Awards including Best Musical, is all set to delight Pinoy theater fans this month. Starring Lea Salonga and Eric Kunze, "Fun Home" is based on Alison Bechdel'ss best-selling graphic memoir, with music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by Lisa Kron.
4. "The Tempest Reimagined"
Where: PETA Theater Center
When: November 11 to December 4
The Philippines Educational Theater Association’s (PETA) is staging "The Tempest Reimagined," a story inspired by William Shakespeare’s "The Tempest" combined with the narratives that came out during the aftermath of the deadly tropical cyclone Haiyan in Leyte.
5. "The Medium"
Where: Mirror Theatre Studio in Makati
When: November 11, 13, 16 and 18
Directed by Leo Rialp, Gian Carlo Menotti's "The Medium" will features singer-actors Jon Abella, Jay Valencia Glorioso, Lara Maigue, Ronaldo Abarquez, Stephanie Aguilar, Margarita Roco, and pianist Dingdong Fiel.
6. "Aegis in Symphony, Symphonic Aegis"
Where: Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater) CCP
When: November 13
Presented by the CCP Complex Employees Organization, "Aegis in Symphony, Symphonic Aegis" is a fundraising project of the CCPCEO for its health and wellness programs, and other projects for the welfare of its members. It will feature the timeless songs of Aegis performed by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra led by Maestro Herminigildo Ranera.

7. VegFest Pilipinas
Where: Eastwood City
When: November 12 and 13
In celebration of the World Vegan Month, Vegans of Manila and Manila Vegans have teamed up to launch the country's first-ever vegan festival called VegFest Pilipinas.
The festival aims to inform people of the benefits of veganism, not just to the body but also to the animals and planet, in general.
In line with this, a Gu Pru Fun Run will be held on November 12 at 6 p.m. Participants may opt to run 1k, 3k, or 5k at Eastwood Central Plaza. Vegan food, live music, talks, workshops, and merchandises will also be available during the event.
8. Galerie Roberto opening exhibition
When: November 12
Where: Molito Lifestyle Extension Building, Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa City
In an effort to promote works of emerging artists, the Galerie Roberto opens this Saturday with a show "QUADRO."
This will feature the works of Ricky Ambagan, Aldron Anchinges, Malyn Bonayog, Herwin Buccat, Ferdie Cacnio, Glenn Cagandahan, Edmar Colmo, Art de Leon, Fil Delacruz, Janos Delacruz, Gerry Joquico Jr., Josue Mangrobang, Mark Nativo, Othoniel Neri, Demi Padua, Sam Penaso, Edu Perreras, Eric Perreras, Eliseo Perreras, Eduard Perreras, Erik Sausa, Dexter Simsim, and Valen Valero.
The exhibit will run until November 26.
9. Shangri-La Plaza's Christmas concert series
When: November 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
Where: Grand Atrium, Level 2 of the Main Wing
As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, Shangri-La Plaza is holding a series of concert featuring some of the country's top music artists.
