MANILA – Mark Herras will not be able to join his girlfriend, Wyn Marquez, in Bolivia as the latter competes in the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 pageant.
But the actor made sure to give Marquez a sweet sendoff at the airport on Thursday.
In an Instagram photo showing them in a tight hug, Herras said: “I’ll miss you, pangga! Good luck sa laban mo! Sobrang proud kaming lahat sa ‘yo. Balik ka agad, ah. Mahal na mahal kita, ga.”
“Father God, please bless this amazing woman, her tita Aileen, and her brother Yeoj,” he added. “[Sana] maging safe sila sa mga pupuntahan nila. ‘Wag niyo po silang papabayaan.”
Also on Instagram, Marquez shared a photo of her with her luggage, saying she is all set to fly to Bolivia for the pageant.
In a previous interview, Marquez said not being with Herras in Bolivia will help her concentrate more on the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 crown.
“Kasi mawawala ang focus ko eh. Kapag alam kong andiyan siya, iisipin ko kung anong ginagawa niya, kung kumain na siya,” she said.
Marquez is the first Filipina to ever compete in the fairly new Reina Hispanoamericana pageant.
She is the daughter of screen veterans Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno, and the niece of former Miss International Melanie Marquez.
